Local Graphic designer Rebecca Linney (Becca) has been nominated for the Best Women’s Content Creator in the Non League Bible awards.
Linney was announced as one of the finalists last Thursday (March 24). The voting then opened on Monday March 28.
All votes must be cast on Twitter underneath the relevant post (see post below).
The 23 year old went to the University of Chester and gained a degree in graphic design and straight after graduating got a job at Curtis Sport. This is where she is still working now.
Also Linney currently plays football herself for Stourbridge Ladies Development.
Therefore, over the last two seasons she has had the opportunity to work closely with the Stourbridge Ladies first teams social media officer Rich Clark.
She has produced match-day posters, programme designs and pieces to promote the club in different ways.

On being nominated for the award Linney said: “It feels great to be nominated for this award, it’s a real humbling feeling. It always feels nice when your work gets recognised especially with the amount of time and effort that goes into making certain graphics.
“I must thank the Stourbridge media team for this nomination too… in particular Rich Clark as he goes above and beyond to promote my work and credit me. The tweets he creates engages everyone to see my posters and this is the main reason they get recognised.
“All graphic designers know how difficult it is to get your work out there, thousands of designers create exceptional work and some pieces don’t get seen so I do feel lucky to have so much interaction with my work.”
At Curtis Sports where she has worked since graduating, Linney has produced different types of work for a range of football clubs and organisations across the country not just teams here in the Midlands.
These types of work include: match-day programmes, calendars, books, social media posters and more.
She has produced work for: West Brom, Coventry and Bradford. As well as clubs in Scotland including Aberdeen and St Johnstone.

Linney added: “It’s amazing to be nominated for the award let alone to win it. To know that people appreciate the work and designs would be a great feeling. I’ve always wanted to create engaging content and eye catching designs for people to see, so to win and to know that people are enjoying my work is a great feeling to have.
“One of the main reasons i decided to start doing it was to help promote the women’s game and engage a bigger audience. As we know the women’s game is growing and heading in the right direction and i wanted to help encourage this.”
For the time being the 23 year old is taking a step back from producing pieces for Stourbridge Ladies due to other work commitments.
However, according to fans of the club and The Glassgirls themselves the pieces of content Linney has produced over the course of the season are “amazing” and they are forever “grateful”.

The voting for the award closes on Thursday April 28, so if anyone plans on voting for Linney, they should get it done as soon as possible.
Linney said: “I just want to thank all my team mates and friends for sharing my work all the time, without you it wouldn’t get the recognition it has and I appreciate that massively.
“You don’t realise how important it is to share designers work on social media. Whether it’s a friend, someone you don’t know or a successful designer.. if you ever see something you like give it a like or a share it really does go a long way!”
